1987 – 1998
PT WRI (PT Widia Raharja Informatika)
PT WRI marked the beginning of BINUS’s non-degree initiatives, providing professional services to the industry, with a focus on the port and manufacturing sectors.
1994 – 1999
BNTRC (Bina Nusantara Training & Recruitment Center)
BNTRC was established, focusing on IT training and research for BINUS students and public. Toward the end of the 1990s, BNTRC evolved into two entities: BINUS Center and BINUS Career.
1998 – present
BINUS Center
BINUS Center continued to grow as a hub for corporate training and certification programs, covering areas from digital literacy to language and soft skills.
2001 – 2007
BINUS Joseph Wibowo Campus (JWC) and Executive Development Program (EDP)
Establishment of the BINUS JWC and launch of the EDP to serve corporate and executive learning needs.
2007 – present
BINUS Business School Executive Education
BINUS Business School Executive Education was officially launched, focusing on leadership and management corporate training and certification preparatory program for executives and working professionals.
2012 – present
BINUS CREATES
BINUS CREATES was founded to provide consulting services and customized corporate learning solutions. Sub-units under this period include:
• BINUS Animation Studio (2012 - 2017),
• BINUS StartUp Accelerator (2013 - 2015), and
• Sokrates (initially under BINUS CREATES from 2013–2014 then spun off as an independent business unit in 2014 and continues to operate today).
2016 – 2024
iOS Foundation
iOS Foundation operated as a 4-month program to inspire BINUS students and introduce them to iOS app development. Conducted at BINUS @Alam Sutera, it welcomed BINUSIAN from all majors and semesters. It laid the groundwork for the creation of the Apple Developer Academy @BINUS, before officially concluding in 2024.
2016 – present
Apple Developer Academy @BINUS
Apple Developer Academy @BINUS was launched in partnership with Apple as a 10-month program focused on coding, design, and professional skills, aiming to nurture world-class developers for the global app ecosystem.
2021 – present
GreatNusa
GreatNusa was introduced as a digital learning platform connecting education, industry, and communities through microcredentials, bootcamps, and AI-driven learning.
2024 – present
CREATES by BINUS Higher Education
BINUS CREATES "Head Office" evolved into CREATES, representing the unified identity of BINUS Higher Education’s professional, advisory, and innovation ecosystem.
CREATES, stands for Creative and Technology Enterprise, is a unit under BINUS Higher Education & Professional Services that bridges academia (BINUS University) and industry to deliver impactful and innovative solutions.
