Carried under the theme <i>\u201cAdvancing Innovation through Humanity-Centred Design (HCD+) in Indonesia and Across Asia,\u201d<\/i> the summit emphasized that innovation is most effective when it is grounded in a deep understanding of human needs, behaviors, and experiences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Organized in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic and supported by the DT|UX Consortium, the event brought together academics, industry practitioners, and design professionals to exchange perspectives on human-centred design and user experience (UX). The discussions focused on how empathy-driven design approaches can help transform ideas into practical, inclusive, and impactful solutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-291 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/binus.edu\/createsgroup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DSCF1618-min-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"570\" height=\"380\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The summit featured <b>Prof. Don Norman<\/b>, widely recognized as <i>the father of UX<\/i>, who is known for his influential thinking on user-centered design. His contribution emphasized the importance of understanding users in order to create meaningful and effective innovations. <b>Prof. Firdaus Alamsjah<\/b>, Director of CREATES, also participated as a panelist, sharing insights on <i>The 7C Factors in Implementing Design Thinking<\/i> and how these factors support successful innovation in organizations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Overall, the summit reinforced the view that design goes beyond visual appearance. It serves as a strategic approach that supports better decision-making, improves usability, and encourages collaboration.
